Our guests’ safety has always been, and will always be, our number one priority at Big Surf. So this year it made sense to base one of our famous Theme Days around safety - particularly kids’ safety.

And so on Saturday, June 26 we're going Safety Crazy! Give your children the chance to learn some useful lessons about how to keep themselves safe - and they’ll even have fun doing it.  Our friends in the local fire, sheriff and police departments and ambulance districts will be here for demonstrations and to talk to the kids. Sparky the Fire Dog may even make an appearance!

In addition, the folks from Missouri’s MOCHIP program will be here to do fingerprinting, DNA swabs and photo IDs for kids. This is a very cool and important program that we heartily support. As an additional bonus, every child who registers for the program today will receive a free Big Surf ticket that they can use at any time for the rest of the season!

It’s going to be an info-filled, fun-packed day. And, of course, there’ll be all the usual amazing Big Surf stuff for you to enjoy as well.

The Osage Beach Fire Protection District is bringing an aerial truck and a fire engine for you to explore and take pictures.

The Camden Ambulance District is bringing the St. John’s/Kohl's Injury Prevention Program van and will be providing tons of educational materials on bike/helmet safety, burn safety, seatbelt safety, carseat and watersafety .
