Q. Do You Offer Discounts for Multiple Visits?

half-price admission with the Second WaveAbsolutely, and now it's easier than ever, and without any obligation on your part. Last year we introduced the Second Wave Program . Here's how it works: visit the park, purchase an all-day pass, and come back any time this season - thBig Surf Waterpark season passe next day, the next week, sometime in late August, whenever works for you, there are no restrictions - and get in for half price.Just keep your receipt and save 50%. It's as simple as that. Of course, if you intend to comeback again and again (and why wouldn't you?) your best bet is to purchase a Season Pass. In addition to making huge savings on tickets, you also get other exclusive benefits at other businesses around the Lake.

Q. Do you have a reading promotion program for kids?

the Alpha ProgramWell, it's not exactly a reading promotion program. It's better! We call it the Alpha Program and we use it to reward good students with a free admission to the park. You just need to present your child's report card with an A or A equivalent (like S for Satisfactory - for younger children) and our park is your child's for the day. This offer is good once per student anytime through the end of June. Kindergarten through fifth grade.

Q. Do you offer a military discount?

Well, let's see. Is it still called a "discount" if it's completely free? ;-)

Big Surf is proud to honor our country's servicemen and women by offering all active military personnel free and unlimited admission to our park, all season long. It's just our little way of saying thanks for all that they do. Just bring current military ID to qualify. In addition, we offer a 20% discount to all family members of military personnel.

Q. Do you have any pavilions or canopies that can be rented?

We have both. For small groups, we have nine beautiful cabanas located throughout the park that can be rented for $30 for the entire day. These are cool and shady and offer some privacy, too. You can either buy one at the door when you buy your tickets, or if you want to guarantee getting one, you can reserve them online, too. (This is always a good idea for weekends.)

For larger groups we have a stand-alone pavilion and also several other shaded structures that can be reserved for your party. Contact Lacey Filley by email or call her at (573) 346 6111 to discuss options and possibilities.

Q. Can we bring coolers into the park for our lunch?

No. We ask that no food or drink is brought into the park.

Q. Are we able to leave and get back in without paying if we go outside to eat?

Once you have purchased your day pass you may come and go as often as you like, but we wouldn't know why you'd want to leave to eat when you have delicious and great value food right here in the park! We are very proud of the food at the Surfside Grill.

Q. Can we bring in our own tubes to use in the Wave Pool?

We do not allow guests to bring their own tubes into the park. There's a very good reason for this - your safety, and the safety of others. We know our equipment is fully compliant with all applicable federal regulations and guidelines. Other people's stuff may very well not be as safe as ours. Therefore it's the only equipment we feel comfortable allowing our guests to use.

Tubes for the rides - other than the wave pool - are free!

Q. Do you Give Free Tickets as Auction Items for Charitable Events, etc.?

As you might imagine, we get a lot of requests for free tickets to include as auction items for fundraising events - everyone wants to come to Big Surf! We do our best to accommodate as many of these requests as we can each season, but unfortunately it's simply not possible to do them all. Please send us a letter on your organization's letterhead, preferably enclosing a flyer for the event in question. We have a limited amount of tickets that we can give away each season, so it's best to get your request in as early as possible. And the more information you can give us about the event, the better!

Q. Do you have life jackets available? If so, how much are they to rent?

Yes, lifejackets are available in all sizes, from infant to adult. They are provided at various points throughout the park. The cost to you: nothing. We provide 'em for absolutely free.

Q. How can I know if you're open or closed because of the weather?

Weather updateYou can always call us at (573) 346-6111 and see what's going on or look at the very top of any page on this site, just to the left of that orange phone number. There, you'll find a consistantly updated status of when we're open or closed based on the weather. Also, you can check Big Surf Waterpark's Twitter feed and Facebook Page.

If the weather has been bad earlier in the day it's always a good idea to check if we're open. Because we employ so many people, we're forced to make a call early each morning about the weather so we can notify our lifeguards and other staff about coming to work. Sometimes a day starts badly, and then - after we've made the decision to close - the sun comes out, and it warms up nicely. But once the decision is made, it has to stay made because our staff goes off and does other things. So if in doubt, please check.

Q. I know you have to be at least 48 inches tall to ride the Zambezi Falls and the Space Bowl. Can I take my 3 year-old down the other rides if he rides in my lap?

Your family's safety is our number one priority, and so we do have a few rules to make sure everyone stays safe. Children are allowed to ride down the following adult rides and attractions with a parent:

All other rides should be ridden alone. Of course, one of the best places for your 3 year-old will be the Tropical Splash Island , which has been designed especially for our younger guests. This is a zero-entry pool with all sorts of fun things to keep kids entertained, from mini slides to a water teeter-totter and squirting animals!
